Chris joined Blackwood in 2013 with experience working in Borderless Networks, Data Center, and Cyber Security projects across the Intelligence Community.  Since that time he has restructured our approach to technical selling by hiring exceptional engineers capable of managing initial conversations all the way through POC, solution design, and delivery of final enterprise architecture.

As our Chief Technology Officer, he is responsible for predicting future markets and is uniquely talented at identifying novel approaches to complex problems. His scope includes all engineering and technical deliverables, to include setting Blackwood’s technical vision and roadmap, performing market analysis and vendor assessments, overseeing a specialized engineering team, and ongoing enablement through our training and support offerings.

Prior to entering the Cybersecurity field, Chris majored in History at Purdue University and then St. Mary’s College of Maryland. He transitioned to the auto mechanical field becoming an ASE certified Master Technician getting his hands dirty in high performance engines and specialized rock crawlers.  Outside of Blackwood, Chris’ passions have him spending all his time with his wife, daughter, and two Labrador pups.
