Bryan Hoffman
As Chief Operating Officer, Bryan Hoffman serves as the integrator of Blackwood’s strategy and execution - ensuring that the company’s long-term vision is delivered through predictable, scalable, and disciplined operations. In this role, Bryan translates strategy into structure, builds operating models that scale sustainably, and ensures that people, processes, and systems move in alignment across the enterprise.
Bryan believes that operational excellence is what transforms vision into execution. He partners closely with the President to operationalize strategic goals into measurable outcomes, establishing the rhythms, accountability frameworks, and cross-functional alignment that drive consistent growth. His leadership ensures that Blackwood’s ambition is always matched by the operational strength required to sustain it.
Bryan joined Blackwood in 2020 to lead the Project Management Office, dissecting our Customer Lifecycle and building the structure that would later define how Blackwood operates. From there he spent 18 months as Director of Sales Operations before creating the Growth Division - an organization built to incubate new capabilities with a longer-term horizon. In 2025 he was promoted to become Blackwood’s first Chief Operating Officer.
Bryan is a graduate of the University of Maryland, College Park, where he earned a degree in Criminal Justice. Before joining Blackwood, Bryan built a career supporting Defense and Intelligence programs in the federal sector, mastering the operational and contractual mechanics of mission-critical government work. He later transitioned to the private sector, where he managed the buildout of business operations and program control functions for a mid-tier systems integrator - experiences that shaped his belief that structure enables speed and that operational excellence is a competitive advantage in itself. Outside of work, he is a proud Girl Dad to three daughters and spends his time with his wife and family enjoying life on Maryland’s Eastern Shore - or finding his next challenge on the Peloton.
